Watch the official trailer for Morgan Neville’s new movie, Won’t You Be My Neighbor? #MrRogersMovie
From Academy Award® -winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom), Won’t You Be My Neighbor? takes an intimate look at America’s favorite neighbor: Mister Fred Rogers. A portrait of a man whom we all think we know, this emotional and moving film takes us beyond the zip-up cardigans and the land of make-believe, and into the heart of a creative genius who inspired generations of children with compassion and limitless imagination.

The way Mr Rogers speaks and acts reminds me of Chris Ulmer -a YouTuber who interviews Special Kids: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4E98HDsPXrf5kTKIgrSmtQ
Enter Nyman's "Fish Beach," and I just couldn't stop the tears.
I can't watch this trailer without breaking down crying. Someday I will get my hands on this movie and I will probably have to schedule a night just to watch and process this cause I know I will be bawling like a baby. Until this trailer came out, I had totally forgotten both how much of an impact Mr. Rogers had on me as a child as well as my childhood struggle and still my struggle as an adult of accepting and loving myself and the spectrum of human experience. When I think of my childhood, Mister Roger's Neighborhood doesn't seem like a highlight or even a passtime, but when I watch the opening title and he goes through his routine, something deep and very old and ignored in me wakes up and remembers. It's strange.
Nice to see a guy who really cared about children and he wasn't a creeper..
That's a first.
Fish beach is one of the most atonishing songs I ever heard. Definitely watching it
How nice it must be to have somebody walk over to you just to express their genuine like for you.
If you're old enough to have been his neighbor, then you can't watch this without the sweet sting of tears.
This movie & the trailer needs to be re-released in these times.
For those wondering, the song is Fish Beach, by Michael Nyman.
I also recommend Nyman's 'Drowning By Number 2', which starts with the same motif but goes somewhere else with it.
Somewhere just as beautiful.
Everyone talks about wanting to have a neighbour like Mr. Rogers, but maybe we should focusing on being that neighbour.
😣🥺
This song should of been in the movie starts at 59 seconds listen https://youtu.be/-Ad8PkYZzqU
You might think you’re only crying because of Mr. Rogers. But make no mistake…You’re also crying because of Michael Nyman’s Fish Beach.
He was a true healer…and he used modern (what was then modern) technology to help millions of children heal the hurts inside them. There are a lot of good-hearted, caring people around, but not with the vision and public expression Rogers had. What we need most of all right now are leaders who represent the best of humanity, and heal divisions, not exploit and inflame divisions. There are leaders like that…we need to elevate them.
Never in the history of mankind has “beautiful person” been more visible than in this man. Blows my mind how remarkable a human he was. RIP sir.
Nice to hear from you sir
Bruh just this trailer made me cry
Omg, I love Hanks but Jim Parsons would knock his biopic out of the park!!
One of my favorite shows as a kid love you Mr. Rodgers
Did anyone get told to listen to your parents first? I was reminded Mr. Rogers is not your parents, but he supports the families positive affection for children and people.
Who is the man singing at 2:04? Thanks
Mr. Rogers isn’t dead, God just needed to borrow him for awhile…
I am Hungarian and 45 years old. I grew up on Péter Levente's children's program. I didn't know this man. I just watched a movie about him. And here's a mug ….
I’ve never been able to grow up watching Mr Rogers, since I’m 19 and also I’m not sure if his show was shown in the uk. But I know for a fact I will make sure that my future kids know who he was and learn the lessons he taught.
Fred Rogers loves everyone
Except the kkk
why it pg 13 tho
To spread even a small fraction of the happiness that this man injected into the world is something I'd be lucky to accomplish in life
WHO COMPOSED THIS SONG
"Love or the lack of it'.
This was far better than the Hanks movie. Most emotional movie i have ever seen by far.
Hello, may I ask the name of the music that starts at 1:05? Thank you.
The real Mr. Rogers would be proud if he could see how his legacy has been represented.
I wish I known Mr Rogers' Neighborhood earlier. I was born in 2003(the year he died) and I did not know this show until last year. I only watch Hi Five, Teletubbies and some other educational shows that I feel that do not deliver as much holy impact as Fred. Even this trailer warms my heart.
I love the little "thank you very much for telling me that" to the wee girl at the start. What a wonderful man.
Anybody know how to find specifically the music used in the trailer? It’s not on the soundtrack, to my knowledge.
Does anybody know what the song with the violins around 1:42 is? It makes me bawl every time.
I know lots of people say we need him now. I wish he was still with us to. But he would want us to be kind to each other. Everyone and anyone can be a kind person starting right now. 🙂
Remember when you're a kid, Mr. Rogers was fun, when you're a teenager, Mr. Rogers was a sissy, and when you finally become an adult you realized the wonderful soul of this man.
I rented this thinking it was the movie with Tom Hanks and I'm glad it wasn't. There's no better person to play Mr. Rogers than Mr. Rogers.
I'm crying
beautiful!
Anybody knows the name of the music played during the trailer?
Aw man, just watching the trailer made me ball my eyes out. Mr. Rogers was the most amazing guy in the world. As a minority kid growing up in the 80s who got bullied alot for being different, my only escape was Mr. Rogers and the land of make believe. He made it OK for me to be different, to use my imagination and to not let the world crush my soul. He really was my hero. He really inspired me and helped me become the man that I am today. 🖤 you Mr. Rogers. R.I.P.
I really, really want to watch this movie, but I can't even make it through the trailer with out crying. bahhhh
Fred Rogers was an ordained Christian minister who rarely (if ever) talked about God or scripture. Instead he exemplified it, not just through works but also through demonstrating love, kindness, acceptance, and justice.
I for one would’ve loved to have been his neighbour. What a wonderful, kind human being. He wish he was still with us.
You know, I truly love this man. I really do.
"Maybe I'm trying to combine things that can't be combined but it makes sense to me." Interestingly, that's what Kurt Cobain's guitar teacher said about his music.
I wish I could have met Mr rogers I didn't grow up with him but he seemed like a great man
I didn't realize the significance of Tom Junod being in this film until I saw "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood".
I actually cried
